Curling
On Friday 3rd February 7 members of our club competed at Braehead Ice Rink for the club's 2 curling trophies-the Canada Cup & the George Mowat Trophy.
In the first game for the Canada Cup the teams were Lachie Beaton, Ken Oxland, Jack Tollan & George Miller[skip] against Colin Crawford, David Finlayson & Graham Innes[skip].The game was keenly contested and ended up in a draw[6-6] and went to an extra end with Graham's team prevailing.
The same teams then competed for the George Mowat Trophy but Jack took over as skip from George. However the winners were again Graham, David & Colin.
The next Curling for the club will be at Braehead on 2nd April when the Strathcona Cup will be competed for by Oban, Glenorchy & Lochaber Curling Clubs.
