Argyll and Bute Covid-19 Response co-ordinator Laura McDonald thanked Group Chairperson Ronnie and the Rotary Club of Oban, on behalf of the Council, for the Clubs outstanding effort.
Secretary Ciorsti Baxter has been tasked with reporting to the Scottish Government regarding communication successes and the continuous improvement in Covid-19 response processes, a great endorsement of the Clubs response in its self and testament to Ciorti’s communication and teamworking skills. Surely a future Rotary President in the making, the Club’s first Lady President perhaps.
Thanks also to The Oban Distillery who provided much needed and, at the time, very scarce Hand Sanitizer to the group. All un-used sanitizer has been passed on to the Oban Girl Guides to assist them in there drive to keep meeting.

Like it or not, it will define my Presidential Year but I am fully committed to giving every effort to support our fantastic Community of Argyll and Bute during this Pandemic. The West Highlands and Islands is a very special place with a great sense of self and place. We have faced much hardship in the past and will get through this together, I have no doubt.
Finally, on behalf of our Club I would like to say, “Well Done” to Rotarian Ronnie Forbes and his dedicated team for an outstanding effort."
